What does your Data Quality page show?
Your Fund Data Quality page provides a detailed overview of the quality of energy consumption data for each asset in your fund. This enables you to quickly identify any gaps or weaknesses in your fund’s data and take action to improve your asset data collection where it is most needed.
Collecting consistent high-quality energy consumption data across all your assets will support your investment decision-making and enhance the sustainability performance of your fund. Your Fund Data Quality page shows.
- Total data
- Landlord-procured data
- Tenant-procured data
Landlord and Tenant data is only displayed if utility meters exist at your assets. If, for example, meters are your assets are all landlord-procured, then no tenant-procured data will appear. And vice versa.
How do you target low-quality data assets?
Your Fund Data Quality page lists each asset alongside its portion of missing fund data (percentage of your fund’s total) and total floor area (m2).
Your most problematic asset is shown at the top of this list. Improving your data for this asset will generate the greatest benefit for your fund.
To pinpoint missing data (timeframes and/or floor areas), leverage existing meters to collect missing data, and reveal inaccurate third-party data, Fund Data Quality is split into five categories.
- Actual data captured from existing meters
- Estimated data captured from third-party suppliers (like an invoice)
- Incomplete data not captured from existing meters for specific timeframes (missing days or months)
- Not Covered data for floor areas with no meters, but likely consuming energy (for example, tenant-controlled floor areas or landlord-controlled assets with no meter present)
- Total Missing combines your Incomplete and Not Covered data
Your default timeframe is 12 months up to the end of your previous completed quarter (unless you selected a predefined Year to Date, 3 Month, 6 Month, or 1 Year timeframe on a previous page).
How do you pinpoint utilities experiencing significant Data Quality problems?
On your Fund Data Quality page, toggle between all utilities and specific utilities (Electricity, Gas, Other Fuels & Thermals, Water) to identify your most significant issues with data quality. Then target those utilities (and corresponding assets) to improve your fund’s data collection where it’s most needed.
